Coast Guard Game (Removed From Website)[]
In the Coast Guard game you take control of the Coast Guard Helicopter and try to rescue minifigs from the water. Completing the first level will give you the Coast Guard Badge Rank 1 MLN reward and will allow you to befriend MLN's only Coast Guard-themed networker, Old Capt Joe. In every level you must rescue a at least a certain number of swimmers before you run out of fuel (whether over time of by being hit by seagulls or sharks). When you run out of fuel the level is over. There are also nearly always extra objectives such as building items or rescuing more swimmers. Completing these bonus tasks will nearly always give you an extra reward, usually points and sometimes also an MLN reward!
- CONTROLS:
You can move the chopper left and right across the screen by moving the mouse left and right accordingly. Left-clicking lowers the winch; to pick up minifigs lower it then hover above them where they can grab the winch till they grab it. Left-click again to raise the winch and that minifig will ride in the helicopter (if possible; only four minifigs can travel in the helicopter at one time). Once you're loaded fly all the way back to the Coast Guard base on the left side of the screen to unload your passengers. You will have to load and unload many times in the later levels. Running out of fuel without rescuing (unloading) the minimum number of minifigs will cause you to fail the level. To build items (often boats or buoys) grab the parts with the winch (when holding a part the winch cannot be raised) and carry them one by one to the highlighted area corresponding to that part. Most buildable items can carry extra minifigs; to use them, grab minifigs without raising the winch and carry them one at a time to the item you built. When both the item and helicopter are full grab the item with the winch and carry it to the base with the helicopter. You must avoid gulls (flying in the air) and sharks (jumping from the water) because they will make you lose fuel. In some levels there are fuel tanks which you can use by reeling them up with the winch.
- REWARDS:
The game has some cool MLN rewards including badges, which you can sometimes get by achieving certain scores. There are five badges signifying different ranks: Private, Lieutenant, Commander, Captain, and Admiral.
